Very rude and unhelpful

When this doctor was on call for my husband's regular neurosurgeon we needed to ask a very important question and called the weekend service. The first time he didn't call back. After 90 minutes we called again and he finally called 30 minutes later. He didn't ask very many questions, basically said bandage up the incision and go to the ER if the problem didn't get any better. The next day it appeared to be better, but we weren't sure so we called again. This time he tersely asked a couple of questions and we could clearly hear him say "Whatever!" under his breath as we were trying to explain. We decided that we didn't want to see him under any circumstances so waited until the next day when our regular doctor was in. We also talked to 2 RNs who work in the same hospital and they said Dr. Wetherington has a reputation of being rude and hard to deal with. If you're looking for a warm and compassionate neurosurgeon, I certainly do not recommend this doctor. Can't speak to his competency as a surgeon because we would NEVER go see him based on his attitude.
